US President Donald Trump says stimulus talks to help the economy bounce back from the coronavirus pandemic are starting to show progress but has conceded there is bad blood between him and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
"I shut down talks two days ago because they weren't working out. Now they are starting to work out," Trump said on Fox Business Network on Thursday.
He said the talks include aid for airlines and that the talks now are "productive".
He added that Pelosi is "not my favourite person".
As head of one chamber of the US legislature, earning her agreement is critical for any spending to be appropriated.
