Stepdad live tweets teen's attempt to sneak girlfriend out of house

A dad has busted his 18-year-old stepson with a girl in his room, and the resulting Twitter thread of the teen’s attempt to sneak her out of the house is hilarious.

Taking to the social media platform this week to let people know of “any updates”, the dad’s thread quickly went viral and has over 80,000 replies and 380,000 likes.

“So, my stepson has a girl upstairs in his room that stayed the night and my wife doesn’t know yet,” he let the Twitter world know.

“I’m curious on how he plans to smuggle her out now that the whole family is awake.”

The whole debacle lasted about four hours but the internet was there for it.

He let everyone know his wife was in the middle of doing housework and seemed unaware what was happening in her son’s bedroom.

“This could be his chance” he wrote.

Some suggested he should help the kid out, but he replies by saying the 18-year-old is a “grown-a** man and made his own “choices”.

He goes on to document his wife’s movements as she continues with the housework, and even puts up a poll to work out who everyone is rooting for.

The thread continues as he wonders when they are going to make an appearance and whether they would “wait it out” until his wife had a lie-down to read.

But then a plot twist – the girl comes downstairs to use the bathroom and it turns out to be one of the son’s close friends. The wife doesn’t seem to notice though.

Sure enough, once mum has finished her cleaning they seize their chance and sneak out the side door.

“I don’t know about you but I need a drink after that suspense,” the man concludes the updates.

It seems everyone had been rooting for ‘young love’ and the pair got away without running into his mum.

The reactions to the story online were equally hilarious, with everyone thanking the dad for providing the updates.
