In just her third Ladies European Tour event, Sweden's Maja Stark has finished strongly to claim the Creekhouse Ladies Open on home soil.

After holding a three shot overnight lead at Kristianstad Golf Club, the 21-year-old carded a final round one under 71 to win four shots clear of compatriot Linn Grant.

Thai Atthaya Thitikul finished a further two shots back at three under after a 74, with Wales' Lydia Hall tied for fourth on two under.

Steph Kyriacou was best of the Australians in a tie for 14th after a final round two over 74.

It was a second professional win in the space of a fortnight for Stark after a victory on the LET Access Series development tour.

"It feels amazing. It's always terrifying leading a competition," Stark said.

"But winning has given me confidence to know that I can do it and pull it together for a whole round and put on some good golf even though I can feel my heart beating on every single shot.

"I was a bit nervous after my bogey on 17, nervous that I was going to mess up and mess up big time.

"But I hit solid shots on the last hole so I was more calm on the 18th than I had been all day."
