Queensland Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg has ruled out a tilt at federal politics.
Mr Springborg again confirmed he's been approached to parachute into the seat of Maranoa, which takes in his state electorate of Southern Downs, but says he's got no intention of doing so.
"Yes I have, and (in answer to previous questions about this) I've said the same thing I'm saying to you - no," Mr Springborg said.
Liberal National Party president Bruce McIver also said Mr Springborg was a very good state leader and his priority had always been Queensland politics.
"You heard him say that himself today, you don't need me to tell you," he added.
