Tottenham Hotspur travel to Southampton to kick off the Premier League action on Sunday with both sides looking to bounce back from defeats on the opening weekend.

Despite their loss at home to Everton, there is a buzz around Tottenham as Sergio Reguilon and former-superstar Gareth Bale are set to join the club from Real Madrid imminently.

Southampton got their season off to a poor start, with Ralph Hasenhüttl’s men losing away to Crystal Palace thanks to a goal from Wilfried Zaha.

This is Southampton’s first home league game of the 2020-21 season, and two England internationals – Danny Ings and Harry Kane – will look to snatch all three points for their respective clubs.

Here’s everything you need to know:

When is it?

The fixture will kick-off at 12pm BST at St. Mary’s Stadium.

How can I watch it?

The match will be televised on BT Sport 1, where coverage will begin from 11:30am.

What is the team news?

Southampton could see Stuart Armstrong return from a thigh injury, but Nathan Redmond is out with an ankle injury sustained in the League Cup defeat to Brentford.

Tottenham will likely start both new signings, Matt Doherty and former-Saint Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, on Sunday despite both playing in the Europa League. Japhet Tanganga is out with a hamstring injury whilst Serge Aurier is struggling for match fitness.

Predicted line-ups

Southampton: McCarthy, Walker-Peters, Bednarek, Stephens, Armstrong, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Djenepo, Adams, Ings

Tottenham: Lloris, Doherty, Alderwield, Davies, Højbjerg, Ndombele, Lucas, Bergwijn, Son, Kane

Odds

Southampton: 9/4

Draw: 12/5

Tottenham: 11/8

Prediction

Tottenham are the stronger team on paper, but their performances to open the campaign have been far from encouraging – even with their midweek win. They were uninspiring against Everton, but Southampton are hardly in better form. This could be a tight game, with a single goal separating them. I think Spurs have the defenders to deal with Danny Ings, and I can’t see where another goal could come from the home side. 1-0 Tottenham.
