Someone in WA is $7.5m richer after winning Oz Lotto jackpot

One lucky West Australian has 7.5 million reasons to celebrate after winning Tuesday night’s Oz Lotto draw.

The $15 million Division One prize pool was split among two people on opposite sides of the country.

One online ticket, worth $7.5 million, was bought by someone in WA, while the other winning ticket was sold in Victoria.

The winning numbers of draw #1265 on May 15 were 41, 3, 12, 13, 6, 40 and 29. The supplementary numbers were 4 and 39.

This week’s jackpot marks WA’s third multi-million dollar win so far this year, Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said.

“It follows a win worth $20 million and one worth $10 million just a few months ago,” she added.

Almost 40,000 other WA players picked up a prize in last night’s OZ Lotto jackpot, including a Division Two winning ticket worth almost $65,000.

The windfall comes one week after a man in his 40s won Lotto twice in one week, totalling $1,020,487, with two tickets from a Bondi news agency.
