NEW CASES

* 176 new locally-acquired cases

* 83 linked to outbreaks and source of 93 cases is unknown

- 61 in Melbourne's west, including seven in Altona North

- 67 in northern suburbs, including 12 in Fawkner, and seven cases in each Broadmeadows and Roxburgh Park

- 22 in Melbourne's east and south, including one case at the Base Backpackers in St Kilda

- 17 linked to Acquire call centre sites in Melbourne

- 13 linked to Shepparton outbreak

- One in greater Geelong

- Three are under investigation

* 1029 active cases, 1026 locally acquired and three in hotel quarantine

- 192 cases in children aged nine and under

- 157 cases in people aged 10 to 19

- 243 cases in people aged 20 to 29

- 183 cases in people aged 30 to 39

* 61 people in hospital, 20 in intensive care with 13 on ventilators

* 48,372 tests in the 24 hours to Thursday morning

VACCINATIONS

* 33,720 vaccines administered on Wednesday at Victorian-run hubs

* Time between AstraZeneca doses reduced from 12 to six weeks
