Sit-in protest at Birmingham New Street Station
Hundreds of people have staged a sit-in protest on the concourse of Birmingham New Street Station.
The crowds were calling for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Gaza, which started on 7 October when Hamas gunmen attacked Israel, killing over 1,400 people and taking 242 hostages.
Israel has since been carrying out retaliatory strikes on Gaza, killing thousands.
The rally is the latest of several pro-Palestinian protests in Birmingham.
It follows a similar sit-in at London's Liverpool Street station earlier this week.
The protest began at about 16:00 GMT and British Transport Police said on social media at about 20:00 GMT that the station was operating as normal again.
