Sister's heartbreaking tribute to 'beautiful' boy who died at playground

The sister of a boy who died in a playground near a primary school has posted a heartbreaking tribute to her brother.

Seth Tran Anderson died on Wednesday evening at the playground in Darwin near Wanguri Primary School.

Police said the death was not suspicious but a result of “misadventure”.

The nine-year-old’s sister wrote on Facebook he had been by her side since he was born.

“I’ve told you many times before and I’ll tell you again, I love you, and you were always in my heart, you supported me and I’ve done my hardest to support you,” she wrote.

“You were always such a beautiful and smart boy, and I was so eager to watch you grow up and become the man that every girl would be all over, but your time came too soon.

“I know I can’t grief (sic) forever but you were and always will be in my heart.

“My special angel, rest in peace.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up for the boy’s mother, who has four children.

“She’s the hardest working person and she has never given up hope/faith on her children or herself,” the page said.

“What happened is beyond comprehension.”

The GoFundMe page has been set up to help with costs for Seth’s funeral and to support his family.

It has so far raised $1370 of its $8000 goal.
