Sister charged over NSW woman's head wound

A woman is recovering in hospital with a stab wound to the head while her younger sister has been charged following an alleged domestic violence assault in inner Sydney.

Police say an injured 51-year-old woman turned up to Glebe police station on Monday afternoon and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening wound.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said the woman was treated for a cut to her face.

In the early hours of Tuesday, a 46-year-old woman was arrested at a Woolloomooloo park and has since been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

She has been remanded in custody and is due to face Central Local Court later in the day.
