Sister apprehended over woman's head wound

A woman has been stabbed in the head and her sister is expected to be charged with malicious wounding following the assault in inner Sydney.

A 51-year-old woman sought help from Glebe police and she was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening wound following a stabbing about 3.20pm on Monday, police said.

A 46-year-old woman was arrested at Walla Mulla Park in Woolloomooloo about 1.15am on Tuesday and she is expected to be charged and served with an interim Apprehended Domestic Violence Order.
