SINGAPORE — Singaporeans can now use their NRIC, National Service identification document or Singapore passport to redeem their digital SingapoRediscovers vouchers (SRV) and make bookings at 34 community clubs/centres (CCs) and residents’ committees (RC) centres.

Upon bringing their identity document to be scanned, a personal Voucher code will be generated and staff from an authorised booking partner will use the code to help them book an SRV-eligible product, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said in a statement on Monday (30 August).

This new method complements the existing Singpass verification process. STB had earlier reviewed the redemption process together with its five SRV authorised booking partners, after receiving feedback on how to improve the scheme.

STB encourages Singaporeans to decide on the product they want and their preferred booking dates or timeslots before visiting the counters for SRV redemption.

In addition, STB will work with the People’s Association (PA) to organise special pop-up booths at other CCs and RC Centres for Singaporeans to book activities and tours. Further details about the pop-up booths will be shared at a later date.

Since March, STB and PA have also co-organised SRV-eligible tours and activities, which include transportation to and from the CCs or RC Centres. So far, 12 tours have been organised for over 500 participants, most of whom are seniors.

As of 1 August, over 1 million adult Singaporeans have used their SRV at least once, making over 1.4 million transactions valued at over $168 million in vouchers and cash payments on tourism bookings.
