Silent Witness fans go wild as Nikki and Jack talk about having kids
Dr Nikki Alexander asked her forensic expert fiance Jack Hodgson if he wanted to have children in the latest episode of the crime drama.

Silent Witness fans were delighted after Nikki and Jack talked about having kids in the latest episode.
The long-running BBC crime drama has just returned with its 28th series and the pair set to marry soon after finally getting together in the last season, following a nine-year-long 'will they, won't they?' storyline.
In the second episode of the new season, which aired on Tuesday, 7 January, Dr Nikki Alexander (Emilia Fox) and forensic expert Jack Hodgson (David Caves) had an awkward chat about how they both felt about becoming parents.
Fans, who have been longing for the pair to find love together, went wild over the idea of them starting a family.
What, how, and why?
There was a tense moment mid was through the episode when Jack asked Nikki if she wanted children. Silent Witness fans have been excited to see Nikki and Jack's romance play out in the storyline, with the pair set to marry soon.
After interviewing a pregnant women for their case, Jack asked Nikki as they climbed into their car: "Do you want kids. I saw the way you looked at the pregnant woman. "
Nikki replied: "What way did I look at her."
Jack retorted: "Have I got to put a name on it?"
Nikki told him: "If you're going to bring it up, yeah."
Jack said: "Okay. Covetous."
Nikki shot back: "Do you really think this is the right time to talk about it." Then she added: "Do you [want kids]?" But Jack drove off and did not answer — leaving the question hanging.
Fans, who love the romance between the pair, went wild over the tense moment.
One tweeted: "Do you want kids? " He already knows the answer pls let them have a child together."
Another shared: "AAAAAND here comes the conversation Jack, blunt as ever, Nikki deflecting but then asking back and that small smile on Jack's face. MY. HEART. for the 3rd time this episode."
And another commented: "Jack asking Nikki if she wants kids She’d be such a good mother. Got that strong maternal instinct."
What else happened on Silent Witness?
Meanwhile, Emilia Fox celebrated the arrival of her new co-star on the show, hailing her as a "delight to work with".
The latest episode saw the addition of crime analyst Kit Brooks to the team. Kit is played by Francesca Mills from Staffordshire, a successful stage actor who has starred in period drama Harlots, BBC family show Worzel Gummidge and Netflix fantasy show The Witcher: Blood Origin.
Following the arrival of Maggie Steed as the new head of team, Professor Harriet Maven, she promptly declared the team was short staffed and she and forensic expert Jack interviewed new crime analyst Kit and were wowed by her knowledge and thinking.
After being hired she soon arrived and was delighted to be a new part of the team. Mills has Dwarfism and Caves is a towering 6ft 2in. On meeting Jack for the first time Kit quipped: "They made you in extra large!"
Fox, who has starred in the show as Dr Nikki Alexander for 21 years, tweeted a reply to a fan's response to Kit's arrival. She said: "Am so pleased you have posted about @FrannMills who is absolutely brilliant in the show as Kit, and a true delight to work with. Thank you so much for watching both eps already!"
She later posted: "45 min countdown until concluding part of this week’s #SilentWitness and the introduction of the joyous @FrannMills as Kit!"
Caves added on social media platform X: "Tune in to the thrilling conclusion of Tim Prager’s ‘Exodus 20:17’ #SilentWitness tonight at 9pm on @BBCOne and we have another new addition to the team in Kit Brooks, Crime Analyst extraordinaire, played by the marvellous Francesca Mills. Joyous."

Viewers loved Mills' new character Kit.
