Shopping centre evacuated over restaurant fire

A shopping centre has been evacuated after a fire at a restaurant on the top floor.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service reported at 14:50 BST it had sent two crews to the Westgate centre in Oxford.

It said later: "Fire crews have left the scene after firefighters wearing breathing apparatus dealt with a small fire in the kitchen of a rooftop terrace restaurant.

"All areas, bar the affected unit, are open as normal."
