Shoppers spot hilarious sign fail in Bunnings

An eagle-eyed shopper has spotted a hilarious sign fail at a Bunnings store in Queensland.

Facebook user Adrian ChanChan spotted the handwritten price tag above an instant light at Bunnings in Rothwell, about 40 kilometres north of Brisbane’s CBD.

“Saw this in Rothwell today,” Mr ChanChan wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

“That moment at #Bunnings when staff just don’t give a flick anymore.”

The handwritten sign reading ‘flick it’ appears to be a much ruder alternative, thanks to the close lettering of the ‘L’ and the ‘I’.

Social media users were delighted by the bungle.

“So funny,” one Facebook user said.

“I got one of them. They’re flicking good,” another Facebook user wrote.

“Must of slipped on an onion,” another user quipped.

Bunnings has since removed the sign.

“Given the nature of our hand written signs, it is unfortunate that this Flick It switch label was misinterpreted,” Bunnings Queensland North Operations Manager Kent Payne told The Courier Mail.

“Once we were alerted, we removed it immediately and it was re-written in clearer text.”
