Shop official sideline face coverings in time for Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season

Though this upcoming NFL season will be one unlike any other, it’ll nonetheless be a memorable one at that. With new regulations in place in order to protect the safety of players aand coaches, league officials have enacted a mandatory rule that anyone on the sidelines will have to don a face covering.

New Era, the brand behind official sideline gear, just debuted the looks that will be worn by players, coaches and other personnel and they’re available for purchase through Fanatics. Retailing for $20 a cover, they are a special event item and will ship no later than Thursday, October 8th.

While the mask allows for breathability, Fanatics warns that it’s not a medical device and recommend that healthcare professionals not use this product in a healthcare/clinical environment. A cover will not protect you from getting the virus, although the CDC recommends that coverings help prevent diseases from spreading if you’re in a public space.

“CDC is additionally advising the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.”
