Shocking video shows moment driver finds toddler car seat on road
A motorist has been dealt a shock after he turned a corner to find a child strapped into a car seat lying in the middle of the busy road.
Chad Mock was driving through Mankato in the US state of Minnesota on Monday when he spotted the young child motionless in the street.
Dashcam footage of the bizarre incident shows the vehicle the child had been travelling in fail to stop with its rear left door ajar,
The vehicle continues off down the street as Mr Mock comes to the child’s aid and attempts to wave down the car.
The car door can then be seen closing as the vehicle continues to drive.
Police said the child fell out of her mother’s car because the safety seat in which she was sitting had not been secured properly.
Mr Mock told local television station KMSP-TV a woman later walked back to retrieve the toddler.
Police and ambulance staff who attended the scene found the child to be uninjured.
The girl’s mother may face charges of child endangerment, KMSP-TV reported.
