A man who chased down his runaway wife in a taxi and climbed onto her bonnet was carried through the streets on her car before she stopped suddenly and sent him flying.
The bizarre incident happened in the town of Wanzhi in Wuhu county in China’s eastern Anhui province after the couple are said to have had a fight.
The man’s wife left and drove off in her car, but the man gave chase and eventually hailed a cab to catch up.
CCTV cameras show the wife’s red sedan waiting at the lights when the husband begins climbing onto her car bonnet in a bid to make her stop and get out.
However, the angry wife did the exact opposite and began driving off when the lights turned green.
The husband is then carried “several hundred metres” on his wife’s car, the police said.
The footage then shows the woman slamming on the brakes and to throw her persistent husband off, leaving him lying injured on the ground as she reverses away.

Witnesses who called in the incident reported that the woman driver had crashed into the male victim, but CCTV images revealed how the accident actually played out.
Wuhu authorities said they planned to punish both husband and wife.
They have summoned the pair for investigation, and it is currently unclear what exactly started the fight.
