Shannon Noll threatens fan in vile expletive-laden rant on stage

Australian singer Shannon Noll has apologised after he unleashed an expletive-laden rant at a packed gig in rural NSW.

Footage has emerged of the former Australian Idol runner-up threatening an audience member at Duck Creek Races in Nyngan, 500km northwest of Sydney, on Saturday night.

In the clip, he can be seen singling out a concertgoer after something is thrown on the stage.

“Hey, who’s that f******, get up here man,” he shouts out.

“Have the balls to come up here and I’ll meet you over there.”

He goes on to label the audience member a “f****** maggot”.

“Shame that motherf***** right there. F****** private school stupid f***head motherf***er.

“Have some balls and get up here and I’ll punch your f***ing teeth down your throat… then I’ll f*** your missus and your mum,” he can be heard saying.

In the wake of the scathing verbal attack, the singer apologised for the incident on his Facebook page on Sunday night.

“I would like to apologise for my behaviour and language at Saturday night’s Duck Creek Picnic Races,” he wrote.

He said he became “rattled” when a member of the audience threw a full can at him during his performance.

“You don’t have a lot of deep vision into the crowd from the stage and it’s pretty scary to see something suddenly flying straight at you,” he added.

“We’re just doing our job and these actions are not acceptable.

“I completely understand that that is still no excuse for the way I spoke and I am deeply sorry for the terrible things I said that were purely out of frustration.”

His apology received a mix-response online, with some forgiving him for his rant, while others labelled him “a disgrace”.

Police said there was no complaint made to them about the incident and they are not investigating.
