Shake Shack Is Giving Away Free Chicken Sandwiches This Week—But There's A Catch
You're going to want to tune in to Sunday's football games.
I'm not the biggest sports fan. I would say I generally fall in the camp of a HFTF (Here for the Food) fan. But one thing I can appreciate when I watch football with my boyfriend? The end zone dances. The worm, the dab, the Griddy, the Ickey Shuffle—nothing makes me laugh more than seeing grown men go from intense gameplay to laughing and shaking their booties in a matter of seconds. And apparently I'm not the only one who appreciates a good end zone dance.
Shake Shack, the chain behind some of our favorite burgers (and winner of several of our fast food taste tests!), is celebrating my favorite part of the football game: the end zone celebrations. This weekend and throughout next week, Shake Shack is giving away free chicken sandwiches every time an NFL player does the chicken dance this Sunday. Here's how you can score one for yourself.

Shake Shack Is Giving Away Free Chicken Sandwiches
This promotion was first announced on X (formerly known as Twitter), by ESPN reporter Adam Schefter. Here are the details and what you should look out for during Sunday's slate of NFL games.
If a player scores a touchdown and does the chicken dance in the end zone during any of the Sunday NFL games, that will be the green light for Shake Shack to release the free Chicken Shacks, the chain's version of a fried chicken sandwich. Each Chicken Shack features a crispy, white-meat chicken breast, lettuce, pickles, and buttermilk herb mayo on a toasted potato bun. Now for the details and conditions.
Once the chicken dance is complete, you can head to your nearest participating Shake Shack or order on Shake Shack's app or website to score the deal using the promo code ‘CHICKENDANCE'. And the sandwiches extend beyond Sunday. You can cash in on your free sandwich anytime during the the promotional period, which is the entire week of Nov. 12 to Nov. 19.
The only catch? There a $10 minimum purchase in order to get your free sandwich. While there is a limit of one free sandwich per order, there is no limit of one per customer stipulated, so theoretically you could be ordering BOGO Chicken Shacks all week long (you didn't hear it from us!).
And if no chicken dances grace the end zone on Sunday, don't fret. There are several other chains celebrating National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day (Nov. 9) by doling out free fried chicken sandwiches this weekend. So between KFC, Popeyes, Jollibee, Wingstop, and Shake Shack, there's plenty of free chicken sandwiches to go around.
