Second person charged in dine-and-dash case

A second person has been charged in relation to Perth’s alleged ‘dine-and-dash’ scam.

Three weeks ago, Perth brewery Elmar’s in the Valley took the extraordinary step of posting footage to Facebook of a couple they claimed had left the restaurant without paying.

Other businesses then came forward with similar claims.

On Tuesday WA Police charged a 41-year-old man from Marangaroo with stealing.

He is also facing three other charges for allegedly using a fake credit card.

On Monday night his female co-accused faced court charged with 80 offences.

She walked free from court on bail, and the pair will both appear in court again later this week.
