N.W.T. RCMP say they have charged a second person in relation to an alleged altercation in Norman Wells where one person was stabbed and another was shot with a crossbow and bear-sprayed.

24-year-old Dallas McCauley has been charged with aggravated assault, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, being disguised with intent to commit an offence, and breaking and entering.

Police said there was also a warrant out for McCauley's arrest on prior unrelated charges of uttering threats and failing to comply with a probation order.

McCauley is not yet in custody. A warrant is out for his arrest on the latest charges, too, and police are asking people not to approach him if they see him but rather to contact them..

On Tuesday, RCMP said they had charged another man, Teagan Sutherland, with the same offences. Sutherland, who is in custody, had also had warrants out for his arrest on other charges. He is due in court on Sept. 25.
