Norweigan landslide death toll hits five

The death count from a landslide near Oslo rose to five on Sunday, with Norwegian rescue crews reporting the discovery of yet another body.

Police said they are now trying to remove the remains from the scene of the accident.

No information has been released about most of the victims of Wednesday's accident. Only details about the first body found, that of a 31-year-old man, have been released.

The community of Ask, which lies about 40 kilometres north-east of Oslo, was struck by the landslide early on Wednesday. At least 10 people suffered injuries and nine houses collapsed in the incident. About 1,000 people have been evacuated to safety.

The search is still ongoing for a small group of people, including two girls, listed as missing .
