Desperate search for man, 65, missing from aged care facility


A man has gone missing from an aged care facility in Sydney’s southwest prompting a desperate search to find him.

Garry Leland, 65, was last seen leaving the property on Northumberland Road, Aurburn on Wednesday about 9am.

Mr Leland was reported missing at 11pm by a carer.

Family and police hold concerns for his safety as his disappearance is reported as being out of character.

Mr Leland is known to frequent the Auburn, Ermington and Oatlands areas.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, with a medium build, brown-coloured hair, brown eyes, tattoos on his arms, and a clean-shaven face.
