Desperate search for woman, 24, missing for two days

A search is underway for a 24-year-old woman who was last seen two days ago.

Abbey Lamont-Salter was last spoken to on Sunday, but hasn’t been heard from since, Lake Illawarra Police District said on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers in the area were notified of her disappearance on Monday and a search has commenced.

The young woman was known to frequent the Lake Illawarra beaches, police said.

She is described as being between 160cm and 165cm, with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes.

She is believed to be driving a white Toyota Corolla with NSW registration BOB 857.

Anyone who sees Abbey, or believes to know of her whereabouts, is urged to contact Lake Illawarra police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
