Urgent search for mum and six-month-old baby in Sydney

NSW Police are concerned for the welfare of a baby girl who is missing with her mum after leaving a government office in Sydney’s west.

Six-month-old Juliana Punzo was last seen with her 39-year-old mother, Joanna Punzo, when they left the office in Parramatta about 3pm (local time) on Friday.

Cumberland Police Area Command launched an investigation after being informed of their disappearance about 5.30pm and have called on the public’s assistance to track them down.

Juliana has brown hair and brown eyes, is described as Caucasian with a fair complexion and a thin build, and weighs between five and 10kg.

Her mum has brown hair and green eyes, is also described as Caucasian with a fair complexion and thin build, is between 170cm and 175cm tall, and weighs between 70kg and 75kg.

It is not known what either of them were wearing when they were last seen.

Police have been told Ms Punzo has links to western Sydney including Guildford, Girraween and Parramatta, and could be in those areas.

Anyone who sees them or has information of the baby’s whereabouts is asked to called Granville Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or on its website.
