'There's a boogie board': Schapelle Corby posts bizarre Instagram video

Convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby has posted a bizarre video of a new boogie board she purchased on her release from a Bali prison.

On Friday, the 39-year-old uploaded the 20-second video to her Instagram account of herself walking down the corridor and to show her 200,000 followers her surf equipment.

"There's a boogie board. This is not the boogie board that was taken at the airport," Corby says.

"This is a new one that I bought on my release from Kerobokan (prison)."

In May, Corby was released after spending 12 years behind bars for having 4 kilograms of marijuana in her bodyboard bag at Denpasar airport in October 2004.

Corby's return home comes 12 years after she was sentenced to 20 years in prison, where she served almost 10 years before being on parole for a further three years.

She flew out of Bali just after 10pm local time on May 27 after a chaotic final trip from her Kuta home to the parole office then to Denpasar Airport.

A member of her security team read a statement on behalf of the family, asking for privacy and thanking supporters.

"To all those in Australia and to all of those in Bali, who were there throughout the difficult journey, your support has not gone unnoticed," the statement said.

"To each and every one of you, you are appreciated."

The family said the focus was on helping Schapelle adjust to life back in Australia.
