John Michael Wozniak stole the show with his iconic shrug during Episode 6 of ESPN’s Michael Jordan documentary “The Last Dance” last year.

Finally, “Saturday Night Live” embraced the former Chicago Bulls security guard and played an extended scene from the documentary on Saturday night.

Host Keegan-Michael Key and Heidi Gardner, who threw on the grey curly wig to portray Wozniak, pulled it off perfectly.

The scene starts just like it did in the documentary, with Wozniak beating Jordan in a low-stakes game of quarters in the locker room. Once he hits the trademark shrug, though, Key’s version of Jordan needs to win his money back — and more.

“He won. I was happy for him," Jordan said. "But he did that little shrug, and I took that personally.”

The real-life Wozniak was a former U.S. Army veteran and Chicago narcotics officer who took a part-time job working security at Chicago Stadium when Jordan joined the Bulls. He quickly worked his way into Jordan’s inner-circle, and even worked private security for Jordan when he left basketball briefly to pursue baseball.

Wozniak died last year after a battle with colon cancer at 69, just months before the documentary aired.

By the time the SNL clip was over, Key's Jordan had won thousands of dollars from Wozniak along with his glasses, pants, a loaded gun and more. Jordan was joined by appearances from Charles Barkley, coach Phil Jackson and even Dennis Rodman, too, which hilariously pulled the entire thing together.

Though it took more than a year, it’s safe to say that Key and the long-running comedy did one of the best moments from the iconic documentary justice.
