New details emerge in search for mystery $1.1m lotto winner

New details have emerged about the winner of Saturday Lotto’s $1.1 million prize.

The winner purchased their ticket from Winston Hills in Sydney’s west and is one of five division one winning entries from Saturday’s draw.

Each division one winning entry won $1,145,653.60.

Unfortunately, the ticket is unregistered which means no one from The Lott can contact the winner to inform them of their $1 million pay day.

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney is urging people to check their tickets.

“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $1.1 million,” she said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Winston Hills Newsagency to check their tickets today.

“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve just won $1.1 million. Your plans for the rest of the year could certainly change with those extra digits in your bank account.”

Other winners of Saturday’s prize include a couple from Frankston in Melbourne.

“I thought it must be a mistake. I was crying my eyes out,” the woman said.

“You always dream of winning division one but you never really think it will happen to you.

“We were just normal people, completely normal, and now we’re millionaires.

“Honestly, I have felt every emotion you can think of since we found out.”

The woman said she and her partner plan on buying a new home and taking “a few holidays” with some money also going to their children.

The Saturday Lotto winning numbers were 5, 33, 17, 13, 44 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 22 and 35.

Seventy-two division two winners managed to take home more than $8900.

Thursday's Powerball has jackpotted to $80 million after last week's $50 million division one prize failed to be won.

No one has managed to claim the major prize for the past four weeks.

However, six entrants took home more than $122,000 each after scoring the division two prize.
