Sasksatoon police are investigating the 15th homicide of the year.

Cruisers were parked on the front street and in the alley by a bungalow near the corner of Avenue Q North and 22nd Street W. early morning Thursday. Officers were coming and going from the house.

Police are releasing no details about who died or what happened. Major crimes and forensic officers arrived at the house overnight.

The city marked its 12th homicide in mid-August and then there was a break until the Nov. 15th weekend, when two more homicides were reported.

The record for homicides in a year is 16 violent deaths, in 2019.
