Sally Dynevor wants to be 'inspiration to older women' on Dancing on Ice

Sally Dynevor MBE, 58, said she hopes to be "an inspiration to older women" when she takes part in the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice.
The Coronation Street star is currently best known for her role as Sally Webster, though could soon be recognised for her moves on the rink.
Dynevor said she still feels 21 and passionate believes that everyone should just "take every opportunity" presented to them.
"I hope I'll be an inspiration to older women. If you get any opportunity to do anything just go for it. I still feel like I'm 21, not 58, so I just think you've got to take every opportunity," she said.
"Now my children have grown up it's much easier. I am a hands-on mum but I just feel like this is my time."
She has been married to screenwriter husband Tim Dynevor, 60, since 1995, with whom she has children Phoebe, 26, – widely known for her lead role in Bridgerton – as well as Samuel, 24 and Harriet, 18.
The soon-to-be Dancing on Ice contestant added, "I think it will be really nice for the public to see me dressed differently so the glitz and the glamour will be really exciting. I'm looking forward to that."

She explains she likes the idea of people seeing her for who she is, after all her years of playing Sally (since 1986), despite finding it a little scary.
"I'm quite private and I'm not very good at putting my head above the parapet so this, for me, is massive," she said.
Posting on Instagram earlier in this week, Dynevor shared some snaps of her and dance partner Matt Evers, counting down for the show to start.
Dynevor isn't the only one hoping to feel empowered on the ice. Fellow contestant, Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, said she is "excited" to compete on Dancing On Ice as she marks her 40th birthday.
The dancer and singer, 39, said she is "scared to death of getting injured" but is keen to "test" her body as she celebrates her upcoming milestone age.
"As a performer I am excited to test my body again and push it to its fullest extent, to get my legs going and make sure I've still got it," she said.
"I'm turning 40 in February and what a brilliant way to bring in 40 – hopefully skating on ice."

She disclosed that last year she had been sterilised, and her model and broadcaster husband Max Rogers, 39, would be having a vasectomy.
The couple have been married since 2014, and have three children Willow, seven, Maple, four, and Ford, born in 2019.
Wyatt added, "I've had my three kids and I'm done with having children now.
"Having a baby on your hip every day pushes your body out of whack and three pregnancies, three caesareans – I'm sort of in recovery period. Now it's time to start life all over again with my new body and celebrate that.
"I'm really excited to celebrate my mum body and see what it's still got!"
Wyatt shared an intro video with her partner Mark Hanretty, captioning it "High kicking into Tuesday".
Other memorable Dancing on Ice contestants have included Trisha Goddard, 64, who said she was dancing for those battling cancer during the 2020 show.
At the time, speaking to hosts Phillip Schofield, 59, and Holly Willoughby, 40, before a skate-off, she said she wanted the night's routine to be "about my recovery and continued recovery from breast cancer," describing herself as a survivor.
Other contestants this year will include Love Island's Liberty Poole, 21, and Happy Mondays dancer Bez, 57. Dancing on Ice is due to start on Sunday January 16 at 6.30pm.
