Safety fears see popular brewery's beer recalled from shelves


A popular craft beer has been recalled across the nation after its bottle top was deemed a safety hazard.

Moon Dog Brewing Pty has urged customers to return their Son of a Plum Peach n Plum Sour Ale 330ml bottles after a packaging fault meant the bottle tops had potential to pop open which could result in injury.

The product has been sold at Dan Murphy’s, pubs, clubs, hotels and bottle shops in all states and territories across Australia.

The affected bottles have a Best Before of 15/08/2019, 16/08/2019 and 06/09/2019.

The NSW Food Authority warned consumers not to drink the product and to take the bottles back to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumers concerned about their health are advised to seek medical advice.
