Sadio Mane will today undergo a scan to ascertain the extent of the hamstring injury sustained at Wolves.

The Senegalese was withdrawn in the 33rd minute of Liverpool's 2-1 win at Molineux on Thursday evening after pulling up near the halfway line.

Klopp later confirmed that his No.10 had felt pain in his hamstring, but couldn't offer insight into how long that may keep him sidelined.

And the German had no further update when asked about Mane at his press conference to preview Sunday's visit to Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.

He said: "I think this moment he is in the scan and he didn’t call me from the scan. Fingers crossed."

Klopp went on to reveal that Xherdan Shaqiri (muscle) and James Milner (hamstring) will be unable to return to the squad at New Meadow despite making good progress in their respective recoveries.

However, Naby Keita could come back from a groin problem sustained in the warm-up ahead of Liverpool's win over Sheffield United earlier this month.

The boss added: "I think for Shaq and Milly it's too early. Naby we will have to see, my information is that he will be part of training today but we have to see."
