A man has died and five others have been injured in a three-vehicle crash northwest of Adelaide.
The 42-year-old died at the scene on Wednesday morning when his car collided with a truck carrying chickens on the Augusta Highway near Port Wakefield, north of Adelaide.
The truck driver was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries after being pulled from the flames by a passer-by. While the four other occupants of the third car were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Three thousand chickens also died in the accident.
