South Australian murder suspect Travis Kirchner has been arrested at a house in Victoria after spending five days on the run.
Kirchner is wanted in connection with the bashing murder of 54-year-old Sally Rothe who was found dead at a home at Murray Bridge, east of Adelaide, on Sunday.
The 43-year-old was arrested by Victorian homicide squad detectives and a fugitive taskforce on Friday just after 6pm at Doveton, in Melbourne's southeast.
A 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman both from Murray Bridge were also at the house and arrested for assisting an offender to escape.
Police had searched more than 110 properties and had been urging property owners in the area to check for signs of break-in or theft.
On Thursday, dog squad and water operations officers joined the search, checking areas along the Murray without success.
SA Police will travel to Victoria over the weekend to apply for all three to be extradited.
The trio will appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court on Monday.
