WATCH: Baby koala found in dog's mouth cuddles teddy bear 'mum'

A baby koala has befriended a cuddly teddy bear as he continues to recover after he was found in the mouth of a dog.

Little Buddy, or LB for short, has been pictured in a number of videos on the South Australia Tourism Facebook page, some videos receiving well over 120,000 views.

He was found "in the mouth of a caring and gentle dog" and has since found a new life with wildlife carers.

While he is too young to stay at Cleland Wildlife Park right now, Little Buddy has been spending some time at a carer's home.

"He's being cared for at the home of senior guide Heather and her family," Tourism South Australia said in a Facebook post that accompanied the video.

"He's doing very well and gaining weight with four feeds per day. He's also extremely attached to 'Huggie' the soft toy -- who acts as his surrogate mother!"

The team say he is quite playful at night.

"Like all cheeky koala babies we hear he's very playful at night, and when he's not snuggling up with Huggie, he likes chewing gum leaves and gum flowers," the comment continued.

"If all goes well, he'll return to the park when he's a little older to meet and greet its visitors."

Little Buddy and Huggie featured in a series of videos on the page, tugging at the heart strings of many followers.

"He's so beautiful and 10 out of 10 on a scale of cuteness," one person wrote.

"Oh my god I wish I was in Adelaide right now," another said.
