Mother allegedly doused in methylated spirits, held captive for three days in suburban home

A mother was allegedly doused in methylated spirits while being held captive for three terrifying days in Adelaide's southern suburbs.

Police claim she was abducted over a $4000 drug debt.

Just after midday yesterday an ambulance pulled up outside a Christies Beach home.

The two paramedics would soon find out that this was no routine call-out.

Inside was a terrified woman who had been through a frightening ordeal.

"Someone walked down the driveway and knocked on the door and said they'd been held captive somewhere around here for three days," a witness, Luke, said.

It's claimed the woman had allegedly been held in a small unit on Ferris Street.

Police allege she had been detained since Friday after being bashed and forced into a car at Para Vista.

Injured and scared, she managed to escape and ran 400 metres to raise the alarm.

"She'd been beaten pretty badly and she was scared for her life," the witness said.

Police swooped and arrested three men and a woman.

The men faced Christies Beach Court late this afternoon.
