Prosecutors are gathering DNA evidence, CCTV footage, witness statements, crime scene photos and other material in the case of four men accused of murdering another man in Adelaide.
The four, who can't be named for legal reasons, are charged with the murder of Old Noarlunga man Ben Gravett at a block of units in Christie Downs in a violent altercation in December.
They faced Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday where prosecutors said they were preparing outstanding evidence, including DNA, CCTV footage, photos, toxicology reports and witness statements.
The killing allegedly occurred while some of the accused men were out collecting drug debts and the 29-year-old victim was stabbed with a chisel during an altercation.
The car the attackers were allegedly driving that night was later found dumped and burned out, andh the four accused men were arrested over following days.
The names and images of the accused men remain suppressed as police are still collecting witness statements and continue with identification procedures.
They are expected to answer the charge when they return to court on June 2.
