Victims fear Knife-wielding gang caught on CCTV possibly behind spate of break-and-enters in Adelaide
FIRST ON 7 - An Adelaide family has been left feeling "violated" after a gang of knife-wielding thieves broke into their house while they slept inside.
In the dead of the night three men entered the Flagstaff Hill home armed with huge knives while a fourth kept watch. The job was caught on CCTV.
The Copper family was sleeping inside when the gang came in through the laundry window and started rummaging through their draws and cupboards.
Craig Cooper was inside with his family, but no one heard a peep from the crooks.
He told 7 News he has no idea how he might of reacted if he had woken up to find the thieves in his house.
"I think what scares me more than anything is that if I'd heard them, I would've come down and then I don't know what would have happened I mean I've got to protect my family," he said.
The gang examined their loot on the driveway, including a laptop, tablet, phone, camera and cash.
"It's creepy… it just makes us feel violated," Mr Coopers said.
His wife Bec Cooper said the event has left nervous and shaken.
"Every little bump and creak in the night, you're sort of, 'Oh what's that?'" she said.
Mrs Cooper believes the men responsible are part of the same gang police are hunting over a spate of invasions at Noarlunga.
"I was quite shocked and devastated to think that this had happened to somebody else… to think that they're doing it to a lot of other people, " she said.
The family of four is not taking any chances – installing bolts and security cameras.
