Emotions boil over at home of woman questioned over Karlie Pearce-Stevenson murder

There has been a violent confrontation outside the home of a wheelchair-bound woman questioned over the murders of Karlie Pearce-Stevenson and her daughter Khandalyce.

Her partner lashed out today, hurling eggs and abuse at the media.

It comes as police reveal they may have let the suspect slip through their fingers two years ago.

The pressure reached boiling point this morning as Hazel Passmore’s partner Jamie sped off his his car.

He returned a short time later and hurled raw eggs at the media.

Bits of wood and metal were also thrown but luckily only parked cars were hit.

Jamie’s partner Hazel Passmore was interviewed by major crime detectives for more than four hours yesterday but was not arrested or charged with any offence.

Police say a woman in a wheelchair impersonated Karlie Peace-Stevenson at a bank after the young mum was allegedly murdered in December 2008.

And police have revealed Karlie’s bank account was used for several years after her death to steal more than $90,000.

It’s been reported that Daniel Holdom, who has been charged with murdering Karlie, had her ATM bank card in his possession.

He handed it to police during a traffic stop in 2013 and reportedly claimed Karlie was an ex-girlfriend.

It has also been reported that in 2012 the accused killer began a relationship with a 16-year-old girl.

A woman who now resides at a Hillbank property formerly leased by Miss Passmore and Mr Holdom has told 7 News of the mess left behind when the pair abruptly left in 2011.

They said holess were left in the walls, drug paraphernalia and junk were strewn about the property.

Neighbours told 7 News: “There was a lot of yelling and from what she’d been through I think she was probably a bit psychologically messed up.”

Another neighbour said Mr Holdom was friendly and they had not suspected anything.
