SA teen's 'Unplug' challenge for charity

How long could you go without staring at the screen of your phone, tablet, laptop or TV?

Twelve-year-old Cassie Winkler is challenging people to put down their electronic devices for just 24 hours to raise money for disadvantaged communities in Asia.

The Athelstone schoolgirl's family runs a charity that has put hundreds of deprived children in Cambodia through school.

Cassie is the inspiration behind the charity's latest fundraiser - the 'Unplug' campaign.

The rules are simple - no phone, no iPad, no laptop, no television, and no game devices - for just one day.

All money raised will help to change the lives of more underprivileged children by giving them an education.

If you think you can survive an entire day without technology, then check out the details on the official Unplug website.
