Time lapse photography of Adelaide Oval redevelopment

Crowds have embraced the revamped Adelaide Oval with open arms, but the story of the ground’s transformation is now available for everyone to enjoy – captured with time lapse photography.

With fixed cameras shooting every five to 15 minutes, Drew Lenman’s photographic masterpiece gradually unfolded.

“We had four cameras shooting continually,” he said.

“Two in the western grandstand, one on the Intercontinental Hotel, one on the northern mound, as well as that I was carting a camera like this around talking shots.”

And how many shots does it take to create an amazing time lapse? More than a million according to Mr Lenman.
