Cash stolen in Semaphore hotel robbery

The Exeter Hotel at Semaphore.

A man has escaped with cash after allegedly robbing a hotel in Adelaide’s western suburbs overnight.

Police say a man walked into drive-through bottle shop of the Exeter Hotel on Semaphore Rd at about 9.15pm and allegedly demanded money from staff.

While no weapon was seen, police say the man gestured towards staff and pretended he had a weapon.

He escaped with an amount of cash, possibly carrying it in a backpack.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of slim build, aged in his late 20s and wearing a black/red Fubu hooded jumper, blue jeans and white shoes.
