SA truckie charged over cyclist death


A truck driver has been charged over a fatal crash that killed one cyclist and injured two others in South Australia's mid-north.

The 61-year-old man died at the scene of the collision on the outskirts of Port Pirie and the other two cyclists were airlifted to hospital with head and shoulder injuries on Tuesday morning, police say.

A 48-year-old truck driver was later charged with multiple counts of causing death and injury by dangerous driving and will appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court on 9 May.
