SA fruit fly outbreak spreads

A fruit fly outbreak has spread in Adelaide's south.

Flies have been found in traps following the discovery of larvae in home-grown peaches last week.

But the outbreak is unlikely to affect commercial growers or South Australia's fruit fly-free status, Primary Industries and Regions SA says.

A 1.5km quarantine zone around a Clarence Park property has been extended to include Kurralta Park, where the latest flies were found, to parts of eight surrounding suburbs.
