Russian missile strike on Sumy killed two people and injured 26, six pit of whom have been hospitalized, Sumy Oblast Military Administration reported on Facebook on March 8.

The missile damaged several crucial facilities, including a school building, the central city hospital, the oblast’s emergency medical center, the blood center, the communal institution, the educational and production center, the service center, and the water supply system.

Emergency rescue operations have concluded.

Volodymyr Artiukh, the head of Sumy Oblast Military Administration earlier said that seven people, including a 10-year-old boy, were injured after Russian forces deployed drone attacks on Sumy, Radio Liberty reported on March 6.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported on March 7 that casualties resulted from the Russian strike on Sumy but did not specify the number of fatalities.
