Even as Ukraine’s air defenses downed or jammed most of 111 drones, others fell near the government’s quarter in Kyiv, local authorities said on Telegram.
The ministry published photos showing a damaged building ablaze, less than 400 meters (1,300 feet) from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s presidential headquarters and just across the street from the central bank’s main office.
A central bank’s facility in central Kyiv was damaged in the attack, it said in a statement on Facebook on Wednesday. No personnel was harmed and all operations continued as normal, the bank said.
