Royal wedding guests flogging gift bags on eBay for more than $4000

It has been revealed some guests who attended the royal wedding have been trying to sell their commemorative gift bags on eBay for more than $4000.

On Saturday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle organised for the official gift bags to be handed out to each attendee at Windsor Castle.

According to advertisements on eBay, each hessian bag contained a fridge magnet, two bottles of water, shortbread, a chocolate coin, spectator badge, map and postcard.

An Order of Service and paperwork for the wedding was also inside.

Instead of keeping them, some guests decided to instead try and make a profit and flogged them on eBay.

One seller, who included their parking sticker in the bag, had a bid of more than $4200 on Tuesday.

Another who admitted the royal wedding bottles of water had been drunk on the day and the fridge magnet was out of its packaging had bids of more than $600.

Others had bids of $770 and one that included a ‘Markle and Sparkle’ Wedding celebratory tote bag listed the price as $1702.

The couple were married on Saturday in front of 600 guests at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. A further 1200 were allowed to gather outside to watch the procession.

Guests included George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, Oprah and Serena Williams.
