Royal announces engagement after six months of dating
Royal wedding bells are set to ring once again, as another of the Queen’s relatives has become engaged to her boyfriend of six months.
Flora Ogilvy, who’s the granddaughter of Her Majesty’s cousin Princess Alexandra, shared the happy news on Instagram after Swedish boyfriend Timothy Vesterberg popped the question.
“We’re engaged! My beloved Timothy asked me to marry him and we’re blissfully happy,” Flora wrote.
“Always and forever,” her new fiancé replied.
Royal romance
The 24-year-old royal relative works as an art dealer in London, while her beau is a former professional ice hockey player and financier.
They are believed to have begun dating midway through this year, with the news of their relationship first being reported by Daily Mail columnist Sebastian Shakespeare in June.
“Flora is head over heels in love, one of her friends tells me,” he wrote at the time. “They are very serious about each other.”
Timothy made his debut on his then-girlfriend’s Instagram in late July.
Although the couple are yet to announce a date or venue, Flora could easily follow in her famous cousins’ footsteps by sharing her vows at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
However, it’s not certain if any of the young royals will be invited to the nuptials, as Flora, her parents James, Julia and brother Alexander, were not invited to Harry and Meghan’s big day last May.
