'The Rookie' and 'FBI' Actor Arrested and Charged With Sexual Assault

Gabriel Olds, an actor who often has guest appearances on popular shows like NCIS and The Rookie: Feds, has been arrested on seven felony sexual assault charges, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD shared the news on Aug. 7 as they announced that they were looking for any other possible victims and witnesses to come forward with information regarding Olds' alleged crimes.

The report noted that, near the end of July, Olds was charged and a warrant for his arrest was issued for $3.5 million. He was arrested and booked on the morning of Aug. 7. Three women have been identified as victims of Olds' assaults, while the LAPD shared that two more women reported sexual misconduct of an alleged lesser extent.

Detective Brent Hopkins, an LAPD Special Assault Section supervisor, said of Olds' crimes: “We heard the same story again and again. Mr. Olds started off charming, but then used brutal violence to carry out these rapes. Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up."

Encouraging other possible victims to speak out if they feel comfortable, Hopkins added, "Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.”

The LAPD revealed some details about Olds' activities shared by the alleged victims, noting that he would use his career success and status as a graduate of Yale University to meet women, adding that "Each victim reported that Olds lured them into a false sense of security during their initial encounters, then turned violent without seeking their consent."

Throughout his acting career, Olds played small roles in a number of well-known shows and films, most recently appearing in FBI: International, Amazing Stories and The Eyes of Tammy Faye. He also had past roles on a number of shows in the NCIS franchise and Elementary, among other projects.

Anyone with information about Olds' current charges or other crimes is instructed to reach out to Detective Hopkins at LAPD by emailing 39343@lapd.online or calling (213) 473-0417.
